Anxiety is my B*TCH Bracelet
For many people, it is easy to get sucked into the rigors of the day. Many of the obstacles we encounter when trying to change our thinking or behavioral habits are the result of not staying mindful when the obstacles present themselves.
When we experience distressful emotions, such as stress, anxiety, sadness, fear, etc., we are more vulnerable to slipping back into unhealthy habits. For instance, when we are experiencing excessive anxiety or stress, we activate various escape methods; such as withdrawing, avoidance, and isolation. Another example is when we are hungry, it increases the intensity of cravings for unhealthy foods.
An effective visual cue can be the difference between failure and success. The bracelets serve as those visual cues. We have used bracelets with our clients since our practices’ inception, and they continue to be incredibly useful.
